Revolutionizing Enterprise Agentic Automation with DeepOpinion

At Alpha Intelligence Capital, we recognize that automating complex cognitive work is essential to driving the next wave of enterprise innovation. While AI's role in this area is still in its early stages, its transformative potential is undeniable.

Today, we are thrilled to announce our investment in DeepOpinion, a company at the forefront of revolutionizing enterprise automation with cutting-edge technology and an enterprise-grade approach to AI implementation.

Founded in 2021, DeepOpinion has developed an AI platform that automates the processing of unstructured data, creating scalable, intelligent workflows for industries such as insurance, financial services, and telecommunications. The platform streamlines various back-office operations, from processing insurance claims to customer onboarding, significantly reducing manual workloads while delivering exceptional accuracy.

As we increase our exposure to this field, we are fortunate to be guided by our advisor, Babak Hodjat, a pioneer in AI agent technology, who wrote about AI agents two decades before most of us became familiar with the concept. Currently serving as the Head of AI at Cognizant, his insights have strengthened our conviction that DeepOpinion's approach is the right path forward.

DeepOpinion’s Technical Differentiation: Stability and Accuracy in AI

The automation landscape is crowded with legacy solutions like Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Business Process Automation (BPA), yet these technologies have consistently fallen short of delivering their promised benefits and have failed to scale beyond simple process automation. Many enterprises express dissatisfaction with RPA, with less than 50% achieving a satisfactory ROI. The core issue lies in these systems' lack of flexibility: bots are fragile, requiring constant upkeep, and most solutions are on-premises, making integration with modern cloud-based AI technologies challenging. They automate only the simplest tasks, and any deviation or complexity in workflows often leads to failure.

DeepOpinion addresses these challenges directly with its cloud-native platform, which integrates seamlessly into existing workflows while leveraging advanced AI technologies. Its multi-agent engine doesn’t rely on static templates but instead learns dynamically from interactions. This adaptability enables the system to manage much more complex and varied tasks, avoiding the frequent breakdowns associated with traditional automation tools.

One of the major pain points of deploying AI for enterprise automation is reliability and accuracy —especially crucial in sectors like financial services, where mistakes can be costly. DeepOpinion has placed a strong emphasis on ensuring the stability of large language models (LLMs), reducing the risk of infinite loops that plague other agent-based systems. The company has gone beyond conventional methods by developing its own algorithms for hallucination prevention and even creating proprietary benchmarks to measure LLM performance. This technical rigor is rare in the automation space and directly addresses a major barrier enterprises face in adopting AI-driven automation.

Through its R&D efforts, the platform combines the power of LLMs sequencing with human-in-the-loop oversight, ensuring that even the most complex tasks are executed with precision through self-reflection mechanisms. This hybrid approach allows DeepOpinion to automate sophisticated processes that other systems have traditionally been unable to handle, delivering results that are not just automated but intelligently managed.

A world-class team with technical and domain expertise

The founding team of DeepOpinion brings together a powerful blend of vision and expertise. Stefan Engl, Stefan Ramershoven and Ahmed Al-Ali lead the company with a proven track record in transforming enterprise automation. Complementing the founders is an A-class technical team, including Kerem Sozugecer (who previously served as Head of Speech at Synthesia), Sebastian Stabinger and David Peer, who impressed us with their ability to tackle practical research challenges and transform them into functional products. On the commercial front, industry veterans such as Graeme Clark, Chris Zechmeister, Hendrick Leitner, who held key positions at BluePrism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere and other leading firms, have recently joined the team. We have been impressed by the founders' ability to attract and retain top-tier talent throughout the organization.

Proven Traction: Delivering Real-World ROI

DeepOpinion isn’t just innovating in theory—their platform is already delivering real, measurable results across industries, with notable clients such as Allianz, Hannover Re, Siemens, e&, and BitPanda.

For instance, a major player in the insurance sector had been struggling for years to automate complex, non-standardized document workflows. By partnering with DeepOpinion, the company achieved an impressive 90% accuracy in document processing, significantly reducing processing times.

The platform’s impact goes beyond insurance. For a leading trading platform, DeepOpinion’s AI-driven approach cut customer onboarding efforts by 82%, with 80% straight-through processing (i.e., no-touch rate) while achieving 96% accuracy in KYC verification.

What’s Next: Scaling for the Future

DeepOpinion is entering its next phase of growth, powered by an €11 million funding round co-led by Alpha Intelligence Capital and Red River West, with participation from existing investors Lunar Ventures and Stride VC. This new capital will fuel the further development of the company's latest product, enabling users to generate automated processes from simple natural language descriptions—a game-changer for ease of use and scalability.

The company is expanding across various departments and actively hiring for a range of roles in technology, marketing, and product. For technical roles, we are particularly looking for individuals with expertise in applied R&D for LLMs and AI agents. If you're interested in working on ground-breaking projects and joining a rapidly growing team, we encourage you to connect with us or the DeepOpinion team.
